ACTIVITY STALL AND WORKSHOP:

ALL WEEKEND

Join Sister Motion and CGI for a taste of camera operating, editing and sound recording at this year's Festival of The Girl. There are limited spaces in our workshops so head over to our stall in the main area and we'll get you signed up and ready to go.

Sister Motion is a creative production agency with film at its heart. We produce content for any screen, in any format.

With women making 80% of all household purchasing decisions, we offer a niche creative solution to brands and businesses that want to connect more authentically with dominant female consumers by producing content that speaks directly to women.

Sister Motion is purpose led and we are working to close the vast gender gap in the production industry by mentoring and championing women and underrepresented talent. Our strap-line is "driven by difference," and we are passionate about harnessing the power of different perspectives to help break down stereotypes and contribute more realistic representations of women and minority groups in advertising and marketing.

We work on briefs for brands big and small, but most enjoy working on projects that allow us to amplify women's voices, celebrate their achievements and tackle the issues that are important to them.

As part of our mission to close the gender gap in the industry last year we held a day long workshop that was an incredible success with the activity being one of the most poplar at the festival and the feedback from girls and parents making us emotional!

This year in collaboration with our partners CGI, we are delighted to be back at Festival of The Girl for two days running our studio workshop.

Nicky Woodhouse, Founder and Creative Director of Sister Motion says “We are thrilled to have the support of CGI to deliver our studio workshop this year. Thanks to their generosity we will be able to give up to 200 girls an introduction to production in the hope that they might follow a career in technical production. Male crew members outnumber women by over 2 to 1 and initiatives like this are needed to plant the seed and build belief and self confidence that allows girls to imagine their future.”
