TALK: SATURDAY AFTERNOON SESSION

Since the Maiden Cricket project launch in March we have continued to receive ongoing interest and support from press and the industry of Honor and Cat’s Maiden mission to empower girls on the field, create a community of passionate players and build out a brand that can make a difference to the future of girls Cricket.

The press coverage has been outstanding. We have had over 60 pieces across print, online and broadcast press. Standout features include a printed piece in Wisden Cricket, online pieces on Yahoo, Mail Online, The Cricketer, Sussex World and broadcast hits across Sky News, ITV Meridian and BBC Radio 5 Live. The combined reach of our coverage so far is 78.7 Million.

To date we have also had over 150 applications of rising stars and accepted 50 across the country of all ages and abilities. We have secured corporate sponsorship from a law firm for a selection of rising star applications who under their responsible business unit support an agenda to help grow the pipeline of girls’ sports.

It has been a busy 4 months, with Honor completing GCSE's as well during this time however continued content and our first competition has grown our Instagram organically to now over 1,500 followers.

This evolving project is now moving from a “project to business” in 2024 where they plan to expand the range including equipment, with team kit opportunities. They are excited to be on this journey to learn and build out a long-term plan with a business team, given the strong reaction and appetite received to date.
