At the beginning of 2023 Emma began strength training with a local female strength coach, she took the opportunity to sign up for a local Strongwoman competition for spring 2024.

 

Emma completed her first Strongwoman session at Square One in December 2023 and met some wonderful supportive people. She fell in love with the sport immediately because of how fun, challenging and practical it is - “l have no trouble unloading all the shopping bags from the car in one trip!”

 

In May 2024 Emma took part in her first and only competition to date, and proud to call herself North Hertfordshire's Strongest (vegan) Novice/Woman. Emma has more competitions lined up for 2024 which allows an opportunity to push herself further, one of these is a team competition with a fellow female lifter. “2025 will see me continue with Strongwoman but also tackling some powerlifting too.”
